Welcome to our page!  We hope to invite, entice, tempt and encourage you to join us for an anventure by signing up to ski a 4K with the Alaska Ski For Women.   We are helping to raise funds to support Alaska non-profits working to end the cycle of domestic violence in our community.

We also hope to provide a nudge to just get out there on the snow with a friend, family member, neighbor and/or acquaintance and have fun.  Try something new, reach out to someone who hasn't skied for awhile or ever... just go for it!

The Ski for Women will set up a course with decorations to be skied anytime within a 5 day period, but you can also be creative and ski where you want. If 4K isn't your distance, feel free to go shorter or longer! You might want to meet a frend or family member in Girdwood, head out to MatSu, or hit the Coastal Trail.  The important thing is to go where you are comfortable and hopefully bring a friend!

Welcome to the 25th Anniversary of the colorful Alaska Ski for Women, North America’s largest women-only cross-country ski event!  This is a great event for all ages and abilities to ski 4km in colorful costumes, while raising funds for local non-profits that help stop the cycle of domestic abuse against women and children. The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage brings you this event every Super Bowl Sunday to help raise awarness and funds for local non-profits that work to stop the cycle of domestic abuse in our community. With your help, we have raised over $1.2 million since our inception. Please consider supporting the cause today!
