Ski jumping is fun. It is very fun. When I first started jumping six and a half years ago, I never thought I would make it to the 65 meter (our biggest jump); in fact, I thought I was going to quit after my first season because it was hard. But my mom told me to keep going because she knew I really liked the community. My coaches also really encouraged me to trust myself and helped me meet my goals. Every year I got excited at the start of the season, wanted to give up in the middle, then had a breakthrough at the end of the season that made me go back again. In 2022 something just clicked and I started really enjoying not just the people, but the sport. I jumped the 65 meter for the first time that fall.

This year for our Midnight Sun Jumpathon we are continuing to raise funds to replace the buildings at the ski jumps. They are more than 35 years old and in desperate need of replacement to support our current team needs and be ready to host the US Junior National competition in February 2024. We are almost to our goal!

Ski jumping has helped me build confidence, strength, balance, and character. We have a great community and want to see it continue. Please consider helping us out if you can. Your support means so much.
