Elias and Julia are excited to help take part in the annual Team AK Ski Jump-A-Thon to support fundraising for improving and repairing the jumping facilities for Alaskans to continue using in the years to come.  Elias was 7 years old, and Julia was 5 years old, when they first starting jumping with Team AK.  Over the last 8 years they have grown in their passion for the sport and the club team.

It's been wonderful to see many young Alaskans come out and courageously try ski jumping for the first time, and sometimes even fall in love with the sport progressing to larger and more challenging jumps learning about courage and character along the way.  Maintaining access to the facility and club for future Alaskans is an important part of supporting our special Alaska outdoor winter sports community culture.

The funds raised from this event will help upgrade and repair the rapidly aging and degrading building facilities at the base of the jumps used by athletes and the team.  Team AK will be hosting the US Junior National event at the Anchorage facility in 2024 and we're hopeful to have the buildings upgraded in time to host this important national event, as well as support our growing Alaska jumper community!
