Capital fundraising campaign underway to replace the aging buildings at the Karl Eid Ski Jumps

Background:

The Karl Eid ski jumping complex was built in Anchorage, Alaska between 1983 - 1988, made possible through the generous donations and support from many community members, donors, sponsors and volunteers.

After more than 35 years, the buildings at the base of the jumps that facilitate the program are in need of replacement.  Fundraising work has been underway for several years with the goal of replacing the buildings in 2023, ahead of Anchorage hosting the US Junior National competition.

Fundraising Approach

Multiple fund-raising efforts are underway to support this effort including grant requests, corporate sponsorships, and grass roots fundraising efforts led by the jumping athletes including the annual Ski Jump-A-Thon events.

The total estimated building replacement cost is $450,000.  Several grants are in the process of being applied for (pending updates) along with over $75,000 that has been raised and set aside by the program.  The remaining amount the club is focused on raising is $75,000.  Thank you for your consideration and support for this program!
